Emily’s Road to Rio
April 7, 2016
I can’t believe that I am making this post today, but here we are and here we go….. Emily received an invitation to the Rio Olympics this morning. The official invitation was delivered to the Bahamas Olympic Committee (BOC) and Romell Knowles, president of the BOC accepted that invitation on behalf of Emily. The Qualification Regatta in Chile was a great racing experience and was the opportunity that Emily needed to get noticed by FISA and Latin America Remo. We had the great fortune to have Julia Williamson ’19 join us on our adventure to capture all of the laughs and tears. She was partially funded by a grant from the Park School of Communications, Ithaca College to continue her documentary on Emily’s Olympic Quest. Check out the video below for a whirlwind tour of our adventures in Chile.
