Gary Kilpatrick, a Graduate student at Ithaca College and four-year oarsmen at Northeastern, thought to himself: “…why not rowing in Ithaca?”. Kilpatrick’s first step: get President Dillingham’s blessing for the new team. Step two: Find a location in Ithaca to keep the two Pococks that were borrowed from Cornell. A beautiful beginning to the team that we all know and love!

 IC Crew circa 1969

As part of our year of celebrating, we are calling on all athletes who rowed in 1968 or 1969 for any stories you have about your time with Ithaca Crew!

IC Crew is calling all members of the IC Crew community to join us in Ithaca on April 28th to celebrate 50 great years of the program. The Ithaca squads will face off against Hamilton College, Marist College, and Colgate University and the team will be honoring its seniors on their last home race of their IC careers. Please join us for what will be a special weekend of celebration for the team, our seniors, and all IC rowers past and present.
