Dan Robinson
Men’s Novice Coach

Associated with the crew since enrolling at Ithaca College in 1975, Dan Robinson, a 1979 graduate, has served the Bomber rowing program in a number of capacities. He coached the Freshman Men’s team in 1980 and has been the Men’s Head Coach since 1987.

Becky Robinson
Women’s Head Coach

 

 

A member of the U.S. National Rowing Team in 1991, Robinson returned to her alma mater in 1994 as women’s novice coach. She has been at the helm of women’s varsity crew for seventeen seasons. Robinson, who graduated from Ithaca’s highly regarded physical therapy program in 1988, rowed with the Bombers from 1985 to 1987, and went on to compete at the national and international levels through 1993.

Romer, who served as head crew coach with the Bombers from 1980 to 1987 is now in his 38th campaign with the Ithaca Crew program. A 1970 graduate of Cornell University, Romer was a four-year member of the Big Red crew at the lightweight level. He first worked with the Ithaca crew in 1973 as freshmen coach, and moved up to varsity lightweight mentor the following year.

Beth Greene
Women’s Assistant Coach

Beth graduated from Ithaca College in 2000 with a degree in Drama. A four year rower, Beth returns to the crew for her third year of coaching. While rowing for Ithaca Beth was awarded the CRCA First Team All American in 2000. Beth went on to compete at the national level after her time at Ithaca.

Luke LaPointe
Men’s Head Coach

Luke is a 2011 graduate of IC, where he was a four-time varsity letter winner, CRCA First Team All-American, ECAC NIRC All Conference, ECAC Steward’s All Academic, and two-time Head of the Charles medal-winner. He is a 2007 graduate of Lowell High School, where he rowed for 3 years, under Jen Bauer (IC ’97). Luke previously coached at Division 1 Bucknell University, and local Cascadilla Boat Club.

Allison Carter
Women’s Assistant Coach

Allison graduated from Ithaca College in 2013 with a BA in Anthropology.  Allison also was a double minor in Art History and Jewish Studies.  Following graduation she began coaching junior rowers at the local Cascadilla Boat club.  Allison returned to her alma mater this fall taking on the coaching responsibilities of the novice women.  Allison rowed at Plant H.S in Tampa FL, before coming to Ithaca.  She started her IC career as a rower but switched over to coxswaining where she earned the 1st varsity eight her Senior year.
