Head of the Genesee 2019 Race Itinerary

ITHACA COLLEGE CREW – RACE ITINERARY

 

Race;                                  10/5/2019              Head of the Genesee

Location;                            Rochester, NY….U of R campus, Genesee Waterways Center, 149 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester.

Participating schools:                         UR, RIT, Hamilton, William Smith, Buffalo, Bucknell, others from upstate NY.

Departure Time – location   On Saturday, 10/5, meet the bus at A & E Center at 6:30am. Depart at 6:45am.

Directions to Site; – Leave Ithaca on route 96 north through Waterloo to I-90 at exit 42, proceed west to exit 46.  Proceed north on I-390 to exit 17, Scottsville Road east, merge onto Elmwood Avenue east, boathouse parking will be on the right

 

Time line;             to bus driver;          Saturday 10/5/2019

6:30 am – Meet at the Ithaca College A & E Center, north side loading dock.

6:45 am  – drive directly to Rochester, NY race site – arrive by 8:45am.

2:30 pm – load the bus for the trip home….no local transportation required.

ETA Ithaca, 5 pm.

 

Race Schedule;

8:45        Regatta meeting – cox’ns and coaches.

Race times are subject to change.

11:10      Men’s v8 launch, race at 11:55.

11:25      Men’s 2v8 launch, race at 12:10.

11:35      Women’s v8, race at 12:20.

12:00      Men’s nov8 launch, race at 12:50.

12:15      Women’s nov8 launch, race at 1:05.

 

Race notes:           All races are 5k head race     

Other Information:             Bring a full water bottle, morning snacks, and a change of clothes.  There will be bagels on the bus.  Don’t forget your uniform.  Buses will stop for food at Wegmans on the way home.

Return to Ithaca:  De-rig immediately after racing and load trailer.   No one is excused until all Ithaca crews are done racing.  Support your teammates.  We will return directly to Ithaca College

Buses will leave for Ithaca at about 3 pm.   E.T.A. is 5 pm.
